Organs and Energy

For optimal health and wellness, the energies of the body should be in balance and our moods can be an excellent barometer for what's happening on the inside of our bodies.

Ideally, we want to balance the energies.

For instance, a balance liver/gallbladder can help encourage more patience in a person who experiences a lot of anger or more power for someone who's normally quite passive.

When the energies are out of balance you could:

  • feel tired, either throughout the day or have energy dips at certain times of the day

  • have problems sleeping, either getting to sleep or staying asleep

  • feel stressed or overwhelmed

  • not feeling settled in your body and like your energy is anywhere but in your body

  • trouble regulating your body temperature

  • digestion issues like food intolerances, acid reflux, irritable bowel and chronic constipation

  • Visceral manipulation can impact, not only the mobility of the organs and central nervous system, but also their motility, which improves energy flow and balance.
    Motility is the organ's intrinsic motion and is governed by energy flow. The inspire phase of an organ, which is the organs inherent motion towards the midline, relates to the yin energy and the expir phase, which is the organs inherent motion away from the midline, relates to the yang energy.
